This Is the 2nd time I have had this light come on while using the tuner. I was using the 80 econo on the dp tuner and if i got on it fast it would come on. Than after about 5-10 minutes of running normal it would go off. I have the ITP overboost kit installes too. But I dont emember seeing the boost get that high anyway. Would the tranny not being totally warmed up cause this? The temp wasnt even at 100 degrees yet both times when this occured. I think the light is the SES one, its the orange picture of the engine on the bottom left of the dash . Any ideas? Jeff

Possibly an oil code where the HPOP just cant keep up with the demand. Even if the light goes off it still has the code stored. Need to get it read or we will just be guessing forever.
So does that meas just for a little bit the HPOP couldnt keep up, then when I back it off it goes back to normal then the light goes out after it read normal conditions for a little while. Does this hurt anything? should I be worried about it? I dont have a code reader so I really cant tell what it is. thanks Jeff
It's more common than you think. The stock HPOP works fine under stock programming and usually with mild tunes as well. Jody's 80hp economy tune is very powerful, and some stock HPOP's can't keep up with the demand for oil. It's not hurting anything, the only thing that is happening is the ICP is detecting lower than desired high oil pressure for more than 7 seconds. The result is that you get a little more smoke than you would like at WOT, as well as a little less power than what you could get with a stronger HPOP. The role of the HPOP is to supply high pressure oil to the injectors in order to properly atomize the fuel to the combustion chamber.
You have three choices: 1) live with it 2) have Jody reprogram to call for less demand from the HPOP 3) buy a big oil setup (Terminator, Stealth, BTS, etc.).

no you have FOUR choices 4) just pull dash plate and black tape the bulb so you no longer see the damn light. i spent a small fortune trying to get rid of the p1211 code only to see it return everytime i used my truck. i dont see any danger in doing this since i would ignore the light when i t came on anyway because it was always nothing. i figure if it is a real problem i will either hear or feel it. we are modifying these truck so i figure that throws it out of the parrameters anyway so it shouldnt bother people to get rid of the buld and save yourself some money
