Who's got what for projects? I myself have two:
72 F100 4x4. It's going from 1/2ton to 3/4ton 8lug running gear, coils all the way around with a hybrid 3-link system out back, disk brakes all the way around, 38.5" tires, and a custom tool bed.
81 Subaru Hatch 4x4. I was going to rebuild the engine, throw in a five speed, do a mild lift, and wheel it a bit, but plans change- It's now getting a dual-range 5speed, a 2.7l flat-6 out of an XT6, about 6" of lift with 30" tires, custom front and rear bumpers, and a few other things.
I'm also doing a partial restoration on a 70 Galaxie to use as a daily driver.
So what is everybody else rebuilding, regardless of brand?
Holy Schmoly Ford_Six, you always have big projects going on...but those 38.5" tires will be a little small.

I'm trying to decide if I'll bathe the heads and replace valves on my '78 ('79 front clip) 400cid or sell it. 142K miles. Rest of the drive train is good, a C6.
No major projects like that here. I just got through with my morning bath of Dot3 while trying to bleed my clutch slave... They need to add a different flavor to that stuff. lol
Well, the project I've got going on now is a 340-350whp 94 RX-7. Mods so far are Intake, Intercooler, 3" downpipe, 3" high flow cat, 3" Cat back, 1200cc secondary injectors, Apexi PFC (Fuel management computer) and fuel pump. Only thing left on the list for me to do now is upgrade the clutch and get her Dyno tuned.
That sounds pretty sweet.......
Yeah, I always do seem to have a laundry list of projects going on. That's just my current list too, I have a trailer I need to throw tires under, wire and register, so I can go pick up a parts truck this weekend. I need to replace the body on my 69, it's rough to say the least.
I have a 74 3/4 ton 4x4 that is getting a engine swap. Old 390 died when the oil pump seized. Have a parts truck that will donate most if not all of its sheet metal (current truck has some bad cancer) Also getting new brake cylinders just to make sure it can stop.
I also have a 53 F100 that is waiting to be worked on. This one is all original including the Ford-o-matic trans. This one will get some sheet metal work and possibly go through the engine (straight six). Not planning on anything radical simply make it work well and be reliable. Still has 6 volt system.
WOW sounds like you all have too much disposable income.LOL
I do not have any real projects but i have things I want to do like:
orange clearance lights on my 99F250 SD. New tailgate, I bought a kargo Master Pro II ladder rack that needs a couple of mods to fit my Short bed. And at some point in time I would like to Tint the windows blacker.
BTW if anyone has a BEATER car that needs help but is salvagable I would love to talk about it. I drive 50 miles from Arlington to Seattle Everyday. At 10 MPG i burn an S load of gas plus am wearing out my truck. I need a commuter and dont have $$
I got the heat liner and carpet left to do to my Fairlane. And The rust repair and a wrecker body to put on the 66 F350. Unless I go with the mud bogger idea with it. Lord knows its got the pony's. But they are buried under 4+ feet of snow and will have to what till it rains it off. Should post some pic's of the Fairlane in my gallery as I did it in the most awesome Robin Egg blue I have seen. But the pic's I got arent very good and it may be months before the snow is gone to get any more. Than there is the trip to Colorado to tinker on the UNI. But that's a different story. Every time I get around her all I want to do is cruise.
3" cowl hood (Cervini's), hood struts-instead of prop rod (Red Line), new bushings all the way around (Energy Suspension), SS brake lines (Earls), new shocks (Tokico), new posi (Eaton), Rear end girdle (TA Performance), lower front end (Eibach Springs), Lower rear end (Belltech hangers & shackles), driveshaft loop (Downs), mondo blow-off valve (Vortech), 170 amp alternator, upgraded battery cables to include alternator cable, broken dash repair kit (Ford), new alarm (Alpine), 28" traction bars (LFP), and a 2800 RPM stall converter (Yank)...or at least I think that's everything sitting in the garage ready to be installed.
