First riding impression/SEAT question

Boys/girls

I just took the X out for a ride yesterday. 150 miles total and I LOVE the truck.

However, I HATE the seat. I have a really bad back and when I came home, my neck hurt and even one of my arms (probably from a nerve in the back).

It's way too stiff for me and it feels like sitting in one of the old rock hard leather sofas.

Here's a question. Are the fabric/cloth seats softer?

Are they available with the same adjustment/heat options as my limited seat?

Any other options for getting a softer seat?

Thanks

George

WHY? do you want to switch the entire interior out? i dont think that the seats are available with the heat option from ford. but they sell kits to add heat to any seat.

if you want to goo full-bore, I saw an air-ride seat kit for the Excursion/superduty. It looked pretty neat. Other than that, maybe a plusher seat cover?

Hope that helps!

I don't but if I'm uncomfortable, what should I do?

I went to wally world today and it's only 15 miles or so but I kinda dreaded it AND i WAS uncomfy all the way...what other options do I have?

I mean, I LOVE my truck but dammit, if I don't like riding, what's the point..?

From my experience, cloth is softer for some reason. I sat in the 2007 Denali and it was even worse. ROCK HARD and I"m 300 LBS almost

I'm going to talk to an upholsterer tomorrow to see if maybe he has an idea. I'm thinking of putting something on TOP of the seat that's padded to allow me to sink in a bit.

I'll keep you guys posted

I'm gonna fix this

I found the company that makes the air-ride seats:

If you really want to live high on hog, you might want to think about sometihng like that. It sounds like a sweet deal to me, but I have no idea what it would cost. I bet not cheap though...

I wonder if it's softer

Well, we're about to find out. I'm gonna call them tomorrow.

How about an Eddie Bauer seat? Do they not make a fabric option with the powered and heated seat? Actually, I don't personally care about the heating option..

Thanks

I didn't actually do it yet, but I found Navigator seats (heated and _cooled_) for $250 at various wreckers online. They might not bolt right in, but there should be room for 'em.
