sub/amp

guys i was wondering (cuz i'm kind of new to the whole sub/amp area) got a 06 F150 Scab FX4. I changed out the stock head unit and speakers. My head unit had 2 outs can i run 2 amps and 2 subs. 1 amp for my doors and one for my subs? I'm looking for something not too expensive but will still hit the bass really hard. Do you know what i mean? Any suggestions and help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Your new HU has 2 "sets" of outs? If so, then it's easy to run 2 amps. Even if it had only one set of outs, you could split it with a set of RCA 1 into 2 splitters and run 2 amps. You need to know what the RMS watts capability of your new speakers are, so you can get an appropriate amp for them. Get a 4 channel amp for those. It depends on how you're going to run the subs, to find the right amp. Whether you are running them wired together, or each ran by a seperate channel of an amp. You could use a 2 channel amp or possibly a mono amp to run them. The important thing is that the impedence of the subs match the amp, or another way to say it is that the amp can handle the impedence of how you have the subs wired. Also with subs, you should get an amp that is rated at least as high as the subs, or a bit higher. I'm talking about RMS watts, not the peak watts garbage. You can adjust the gain of the amp to the sub, but with an under powered amp, you can do damage to a sub. Give us some info on what you have, or are looking for and maybe we can help you further.
