Hi I have a heater blower problem on my 1997 Aerostar~the blower does not operate at times. The motor test ok and the fuse is good. If I remove the fuse and put it back, the blower will operate for a while until I hit a bump in the road then it will cut out, hit another bump sometimes it will start up again. It's the same thing if I bang the dash, or wiring under the hood. It's an intermittent problem, but where to start checking? It's -30c to -35c up here these days so the fan switch gets a good workout.
If you can get it to pop on with a thump to the dash, it's a good chance the fan switch is the problem. Does it work better after you flip the switch through its positions a couple of times?
Sometimes it does, I believe your right~it's most likely the fan switch~~I guess I'm going to have to bite the bullet and pull the dash apart.
Thanks
Frank
