Lightbulb Push button toggle or repair turnkey???

1987 Bronco 302 EFI C4 - My bronco recently quit starting and I found that I'm not getting fire to my starter through the starter relay because i'm not getting fire through the switch side of relay coming from ignition. I can jump fire across to switch side of relay using a screwdriver and it starts fine. I checked to make sure the neutral safety switch was in proper adjustment and it is, so i'm figuring turnkey failure or possible neutral safety switch failure. My question is, should i just install a push button toggle on the switch side of relay or just bite the bullet and repair my ignition. The great thing about the toggle is could hide it somewhere and that would be a great theft deterrent !!!!! If anyone has any ideas on the matter, i would greatly appreciate it

I have added the pushbutton start switch and it works well. I also replaced the broken actuator in the tilt steering column to permanently (for a few years until it breaks again) repair the problem. My main concern with the pushbutton switch was that if the problem became worse due to ???, I may not be able to release the wheel or ?

It is nice to have everything working the way it should. I left the pushbutton switch in place, just in case it breaks again.

You can replace the key switch on top of the steer column, there's a steel rod that runs from the key tumbler to the actual switch that I'm talkin about, that switch is what is most likely bad, will cost you less than $30 aftermarket. The last one I bought was made by GP Sorenson. Replaced in about an hour and haven't had a problem in 2 yrs. The real decision is-run wires and switch or drop steer column and fix? Up to you but either wil work.
