Ford Credit interest rates on 08's??

When I bought my 2005 F350, I took Ford's rebate and then negotiated a low interest rate with one of the banks my dealer uses. I ended up with the Ford rebate plus lower interest rates than Ford was offering as a promotion. The point is, if you have a good credit score, you can probably shop around and get better rates.

So I bought my 08 F450 from a dealer 200 miles away. The day they delivered it to my office, I wasn't there, and the guys had to wait for me to sign the papers. When I got to the office, I quickly signed everything as to not hold up the delivery guys. I later find out FOMO Credit was charging me 10.49%. Let me say that again 10.49%. Keep in mind, I have EXCELLENT credit, and when the dealer told he would set up the financing, I assumed it would be a competitive rate. Uh, not so. So I called my bank (Bank Of America) and in about 5 minutes I was approved for financing for the full purchase price if I wanted, at 6.24% for 60 months. So, as soon as my account is set up in Ford's computer, I'll be paying off the note with them. Can't imagine why Ford can't make any money and they're in the toilet????

Great Rates
Pentagon Federal Credit Union is offering 5.54% for new vehicle purchases up to 72 months. I think they are also offering 7.9% for 84 months.
You should also check out their RV and Travel Travel loans. They are consistently one of the lowest rate credit unions out there.
The nice thing is anyone can join. I think you have to pay a nominal $50 one-time membership. But I canceled it years ago and I can still get financing through them because I left my savings account open with a $5.00 balance (no monthly fees either). I've financed 2 purchases through them.

Hi G & L:
Nope, I did not. I was just tire kicking that day, I won't be able to think about actually getting the truck for a couple months. I have a house to sell (not the one I'm living in). After all that shakes out, then I'll seriously start my hunt for deals. I'll be ordering it any way, I can NEVER find what I want on a lot. I don't want 4x4, all the dealers around here alwways get it.
All I do is tow a 16k 5ver on good highways. I like the truck to be low as to keep the trailer level. When you start messing with the hitch height, the clearance between them gets closer. If you pull in on a twist or a hump the bed of the truck can hit the trailer bottom. I like to keep 6-8in between them.

One thing I never understood about leasing a truck for work is that they wouldn't allow for over 15K miles annually. I know most of our drivers put minimum of 20K a year on their vehicles. Seems like there would be a higher mileage yield for the Diesels.
I do know they beat the hell out of you on body damage. If you are a Velvet-*** like me this is never a problem because all of my driving is hwy. Some of these guys that are in construction or pipeline work hammer their trucks.
Our main "Parts" truck put 41K in just 7 months last year.

Long time no talk.
Hows the recovery going....and your GT500?
Last I heard you were getting ready for a nasty lawsuit and on some good drugs, lol.
