Axle and engine codes
I have a 94 f250 built in canada with a 351w. I have heard this is the year they switched to better cams and roller blocks and such. I dont plan on doing much more than headers and rocker rollers to the engine and need to ensure its a roller block. Where do I find the #s?
Now since I have 35 in tires and 3.55s I believe I need to get some information on my axle codes as follow:
321 top left corner 9 top right corner
12 Bottom left corner 4157 bottom right corner
I believe on the door jamb sticker it says its an f250hd with 3.55s. Im thinking of going with a 4.56 gear or 4.88 with my 35 bfg in hopes of one day running a 38. I dont typically go faster than 60 some and its more of 5 miles to school, 5 back and right around the house type of truck. I plan to swap to a dana 60 for better all around performance because of my 6 in lift.
Now for lockers: I would like a spool up front in the dana 60 if possible and maybe change the spider gears in the rear. My truck does not pull positive and I dont know whether or not it has limited slip. But it is probably just worn slam out 200+k.
