I have a do a little wiring work for my plow and am wondering how to remove the front bumper on my 2000 F-350. I know that you have to take off the 4 cap nuts next to the tow hooks but it still won't slide off. Thanks in advance!
Many plow mounts have some extra brackets that connect to the bumper. How the bumper is installed depends what brand of plow you have installed.
Check the plow manufacture's web site and get the instructions for installing the plow frame. This will include instructions for installing and removing the bumper.
I removed my '07 bumper by removing the two outboard bolts (backside, in front of tires, brace to bumper) and the four bolts on the front side next to the tow loops. Tow loops stayed, no issue at all. They helped me during reinstall, by giving something to support the bumper on while I started the bolts.
