help spectre air filter?
Long story .but had to by an air filter for by 7.3 in a rush went into the nearest pep boys and got a cone type that fit my air raid box on my truck. Here we go .made by spectreperforamance.com # 9738 now these guys are big in the auto racing field.But do I need to change the filter. it is a cloth type & oiled. If so what do I put in the air raid box is the spectre # 9738/ is it a keeper .Just want a good air filter on by truck. thanks

Don't know much about spectre perforamance, but the air raid box is pretty much the same as an aFe stage 1. You can't go wrong with one of their proGuard 7 filters. Now they have dry ones too that are 99.4% efficient without the clean and oil hassle. I have a proguard 7 and although pricey, very effective. part# AFE-72-40035

Went on line to spectreperformance.com to get some info they seem to be good quality just not in the truck world same size as old k&n, and air raid, the end of the cone has air intake for what it is worth take a look part #9738 if you want .you know what they say one picture thanks
