air filter intake confusion?
Hey guys ive got a 99 f250 lariat 7.3 2wd ext cab lwb. I'm the second owner and she's got 162k on the ticker now bought it with 134k. But the PO installed a spectre cold air intake and I'm doing a 6637 mod instead. I work out of town a lot and see all sorts of conditions especially dust. Now I'm wondering if the intake pipe is will just let the new filter go straight on or would the spectre cai be too small or too long. Yes I know I should just pull a tape on it but I'm on nightshift and can't get to my ride at the moment. Has anybody else ran into something of this sort. Also on another note the truck was built on 2/99 and I don't know if that qualifies it to be considered an early 99 or late. Figures the spliting year I get lol. Any info is appreciated thanks in advance.
