I think i've found a 71 F-250. I don't know any more about the truck other than it has what i belive to be a FE series of some sort under the hood backed by an automatic. Which i belive is a C6, since i know its a long time before the AOD.
I'm more familiar with the 80-86 pickups, so what should i look for on this truck? Any areas that are known problems? It was getting dark out so i didn't get a good look at the body, so i don't know if its got any rust. Other than that the body seemed pretty straight.
I would check for rust in the rocker panel, the front fenders right in fron of the door seem, the cab mounts, and the floor pans. That is where I've found the most on my truck. Good luck with it. The early 70's Fords are great trucks

I still haven't been back into the area where the truck is located. I'm thinking if its in good enough shape and only needing minor repair i might just pick it up. I think that the owner said it might need brakes, which shouldn't be too big of a deal.
I just want to hear it run, see how the body looks. Hopefully its nothing more than bad brakes, and i can just trailer it home. For $500 i don't think thats all that bad.
