Dome light circuit draw

Dome light circuit draw
Anyone have a link to an on-line wiring diagram for a 97 250? I have a draw on the #8 fuse circuit (dome light, etc...) and I am not sure where to begin tracing it. I took the dome assembly apart and it all looked fine with no irregular grounds. Removing the bulb and therefore eliminating the circuit dimmed my test light so i belive the short is somewhere in the dome light circuit but i don't know where else to trace the curcuit. Anyone have any other suggestions?

You are doing the test with the doors shut correct? Your late model should have a courtesy light relay you can unplug to kill all the domelight circuit. You could try pulling that and see what happens.
Also, I almost forgot. Since you have a late model, you are going to have to wait 10 to 15 minutes before you can do the draw test. Your model has a battery saver relay and a accessory delay relay that powers everything up for awhile after you pull the key and shut the door.

I have the dome light out of the socket now which cuts the circuit, but it is quite inconvient to try and find things in the dark with a mag-lite doing 65 down the highway...I had no idea about the power saver relay, I will check into that. Thank you!
