Can someone tell me if the width of the leaf springs on a 53 F-100 is different than the width of the springs on a 53 F-250? I want to do something to smooth and soften the ride was thinking about removing a leaf or two and using the poly ride liner from Midfifty but I don't know if the the spring width is the same or not.
They are probably different widths. I know the stock springs on my 48 F-3 were wider than comparable F-1 springs by 1/4 inch so my guess is that F-250 springs are wider than F-100 springs also by the same 1/4 inch.
The inner width of the spring clamps would at least give some idea as to the difference. Probably the best thing for me to do is to go out in the cold, measure my springs then call Midfifty and ask them the question.
Not near as much fun as doing it here though.
Well got a couple of things to do here and then off to my dads to cut some firewood and stack it for him, at 86 he doesn't do that as well as he used to. Still splits the wood though.

Thanks Bill, it's supposed to warm up to the mid 30's a couple of days next week so I think I'll brave those temps and crawl under Ol' Red and take some measurements and give Midfifty a call.
