Tilt Column Rebuild

Is there a source for a kit to rebuild the tilt mechanism on my 84 F-150..Auto/Cruise.?..Thanks..jV

Darn ozarki me and you almost have same problem,[see next post]aparently mines beyond rebuilding .again

No kit available from Ford..it's piece by piece. Different years will take different parts, which are (mostly) dealer only.

Bill...Thanks a bunch..Mine sometimes does not lock solidly in a position...can move it with a little force...Jv

Tilt columns in Vans (E-series) are the same except for shaft length so you can get parts from them and they are usually plentiful at wrecking yards

Bill...Once again..Thanks..I'm getting ready to change to the thicker wheel anyway, and as I said, sometimes you can change positions by pulling down on the wheel.by accident...Jv
