Not sure what they are really called, but at the very rear of the truck where the tailights are mounted there is a two piece "cover" that is part of the box body.
Anyways since mine did not have a rear bumper and the original owner was not the best at backing up, these on my 1957 where quite smashed.
I saved the passenger side but the driver side lower piece is kinda fixed but I was wondering if any company would make this part aftermarket.
Thanks in advance for any avialble information on where or who would sell my this unique body piece and see not too hard putting in the year in the title.(sorry)
you will have to either fab up some yourself, find a used box and remove them or repair the existing ones.
Your lucky, most parts of the country they are rusted out at the lower corners as they make great dirt and mud traps. And also the way they were assembled at the factory, it is next to impossible to get to the spot welds from behind to remove them properly.
