I currently have a rough country 4" suspension lift and want to increase to 6". All the brackets came with 4 and 6 inch holes in them except the radius arm brackets. If I increase the lift will I need to get new radius arm brackets? I already have the new blocks for the back and am looking at coil spring lifters for the front instead of getting new springs. Anyone have any experience with these? Other than that what else will I need to do to complete this new lift?
You will need the 6" radius arm drop brackets, or an extended radius arm conversion kit. If you don't use the 6" brackets, your castor will be off and your steering will seem to be much more squirrely.
Can I manufacture 2" steel plates to put between my 4" brackets and the frame? That seems logical and easy to do and it would drop the brackets the 2" that I need. What about my driveshafts? Will they need to be lengthened?
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 12-Nov-02 AT 08:42 PM (EST)]You might run into some strength issues if you just try to add another block between your bracket and the frame...but thats just my 2 cents.
As for your driveshafts, my friend put a 6in lift on his 94 and he didn't need to lengthen his.
