i am thinking about lifting my truck. i want to get 3in add-a-leafs plus the 3 in blocks i have alreadyy and 6" lift coils. i know ill need a drop pitman arm and probably extended brake lines, but do i need radius arm drop brackets or i-beam drop brackets?
im trying to do this on a budget and so far i can get the coils and add-a-leafs for only $200
As I read your post, you have a 3in add a leaf and a 3in block to provide the rear lift and you have 6in longer coils for the front. Correct?
You will need to lower the TTB pivot points in the front. Left and right axle pivot mounts and the two radius arm brackets.
Try looking on ebay for these items, but most complete kits run from 450 to 1200. The less expensive kits maybe the way to go if you can not locate the individual parts.
what do the pivot mounts do? cause i couldnt find them on ebay or summitracing. i found a kit on broncograveyard that has the pivot mounts and radius drop brackets but its $290. so are these an absolute necessity?
It will keep proper steering and suspension geometry with a big 6 inch lift like the one you want to install, so yes you need the R and L axle pivot brackets for a TTB suspension.
