Any info on this web site? I would definitely be interested in installing one after seeing the crud that gets caught on the filters in my other cars. The only down side is that a furnace filter is $7, but a car filter that is 1/10 the size is $20!!
It would also be good if the filter kit cleaned outside air as well as recirculated air.
My 1996 Taurus has a cabin air filter located under the cowl on the passenger side. Prices have dropped since it now avaliable aftermarket. Dealerships were charging way too much. I don't think my 2006 F150 has a cabin air filter.
Its been a while, but if I remember correctly some of the 02 Expeditions (Eddie Bauer) came fitted with the cab-filters. I haven't had the opportunity to check out how the Eddie Bauer filter is installed. If anyone owns an Eddie, maybe they could help shed some light on this subject? Poking my head under the passenger side dash, I could see the vent duct where the slot for the filter would go, but the slot is sealed. My guess is that the slot would have to be cut to slip the filter inline with the air flow, but the trick would be how to hold the filter in place? I suppose I could use duct-tape, but that would be kinda cheesey? Anyway, if there is an aftermarket kit with some instructions and specs, I'd feel more comfortable with trying to add the cab-filter.

This is on the F150 or the Eddie Bauer? If the slot is already there on the F150, that would be great!
On my other cars, the filter sits vertically in the middle of the airbox. Right after the blower, but before the coils. This filters outside or cabin air, but keeps the coils and everything else clean.
there is a place behind the glove box on the very right side that looks like it should hold an air filter on my stx. i haven't tried hard to get to it because of all the stuff that's in the way. i also need to know what the filter looks like and see if it indeed is the air filter housing.
