New cats are pretty free flowing, expect very little bang for the buck. Plus I think it is hefty fine if you get caught disabling a pollution control device.

you might even get the engine trouble light to come on and get a code alarm. bad idea to gut. WHY? what are you trying to do?

yeah, zero gain. Hey where do you live, let me notify the emissions police that you're shooting razor blades and battery acid out the tail pipe. Maybe some driveability problems to go along with that, your 02 sensors might get ticked off.

You wont gain any HP or fuel mileage. Gutting the cats WILL improve the sound a whole lot though! Check engine light can be cured with MIL eliminator kits.

Gutting them actually hurts due to the shape and flow disturbance created.

If you gut them make sure you place a piece of pipe in it so it flows freely. Since it is less restrictive then having cats on there, you might see a slight increase, IF you can keep your foot off of the floor! It sounds a ton better having your motor flow freely!

Just think of how many years vehicles used to run without cats, and the fuel ws made alot different. If ya wanna reduce the amount of crap we throw into the atmosphe stop driving lol

lol... that's the attitude we need - we used to pollute more, so polluting just a little less (yet still being illegal) is acceptable - hahah... and stop driving? uggh... ignorance.. i hate it.

i love it when someone posts out of nowhere to make a funny that has nothing to do with the topic. *sigh* as most logical people can see, i was simply showing that the only way that i've been acting "illegally" has been when i accidently sped one time. gutting your cats isn't accidental. thanks for the post. have a good day.

and preppypro, i see what you're saying, and i think you realize what i'm saying. thanks again avator for the useless post that takes things outta context
