The vacuum cruise servo (pre-93) is sensitive to vacuum leaks anywhere on the engine AND to a tired or cammed engine that doesn't produce much vacuum. That's why I switched to the '93-up electric servo that doesn't use vacuum.

Ford put one switch along the brake pedal shaft just above the foot pad.
The other one is usually at the end of the push rod for the M/C.
