Hello, I have a 2000 F350 7.3L My truck started to loose power and would only idle with a bad lope, pressing the peddle down would not give any change in rpm usually. Then the next time you start it it would run fine for awhile then loose power again and go back to a severe lope. I changed the Fuel filter (no help), changed the cps ( no help) I am not sure what to try next. Also checked for codes, no codes thrown. Thanks AL

What did you use to check for codes? It didn't come from Autozone, or oreilleys or advanced did it?
Nothing seems to trigger it I was driving and felt a loss of power when I let off the pedal. Then about 1 min later it just went to idle and started loping if I gave it throttle the RPMs would not change. I pulled over turned it off and then restarted it and it seemed fine for about a block or two then it did it again, so I stopped and restarted it ran fine as I drove strait home about 4 miles. I changed the Fuel filter it did not help, so I reprogramed it with my DP and it seemed to be OK then this morning n my way to work it started again so I stopped and changed my CPS and it seemed fine. After I got to work I went to move it and it started again. Sorry for so long winded just ot sure haw to explain it. Thanks for the Help. AL
I am kinda thinkind pedal assembly. A bad IVS could cause lopy idle and an intermittant TPS could cause the no throthle response. Both sensors are part of the pedal assembly.
I tried a new throttle peddle and that was not the problem. I reset my DP and reset the parameters and then set it at 85 HP and it seems to be OK at the moment. It did burp once. I did this before and it ran fine for awhile and then started to lope again. So I guess I will have to see what happens.
Thanks AL
Go back to the stock setting until the problem is solved. You are working outside the intended programming, so eliminate that first and go from there. If it goes away, tune is bad. If it persists, find the prob and fix then reinstall tune. Good luck.
