Okay, well i just filled my tank up and started my truck, and the fuel gauge went to full. I got a few blocks down the street and looked down to check my speed and i noticed the low fuel light is on and the guage is pegged out past E. Is there any common things that go out on these trucks. I have never heard of this problem.
Went back out 45 min later and it was workin fine. So ya i dunno. Guess we will wait and see. Ive had it somtimes not go clear to full after i fill it up.. then miles later it will get there... so ya... well see
Hey burns, I know with my 02 f150 it will sometimes take 4 or 5 minutes to read the proper reading. Kinda scary sometimes. Glad you have one of those trucks that can heal itself...LOL. Best to ya!
I cant say enough about this truck.. I run this thing so hard, i drive it like its a race car half the time. Full throttle from every stop light, and i havent had any really unexpectd trouble. I did lose a tranny at 150,000, just had a bearing go out and metal got ran threw everything, I drove the thing home 65 mph after it started to act up and pulled the tranny. Saw it was bad and put one in with 120000 back in and it runs perfict. These things can really take a beating.
Well the darn thing is doin it now all the time. Fine one minute, no fuel the next. So i assume this is the sensor in the gas tank and i will need to drop the tank to replace it. It sounds like a nightmare.
