factory TBC install

I ordered the Ford kit to install the factory trailer brake controller and would like to put in the module and swap the master cylinder myself. Has anyone done this? If so could you please advise me as to what is involved, how difficult (master cylinder part) it was, special tools, things to watch out for, etc. . Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, John

Thinking about adding this too.
Local dealer told me $601.75 for 'kit' alone. Total $881.09 for kit/install/tax, for in & out the door...everything done.

I got my kit for 375.00 plus 10.00 shipping from Ford Direct Online. Six hundred is way too much.

I talked to some one on the phone there and he pulled the kit off the shelf to check if it included the master cylinder, and it did. Be aware that my kit was for a diesel equipt truck, and if you have a gasser the price may be different.

I stand corrected. This is one of those few times I like being wrong. My local dealer lied to me! If you can amagine that.

Was able to get a hold of Bob B. at Powerstroke Shop (www.powerstrokeshop.com) and he said the part #5C3Z19H332AA for gas SRW does infact come with a master cylinder too. They want $420 for the kit. I have dealt with them before and will probably just use him for this reason.

Ford Direct has not replied to my email as of yet. Tried calling and went to a voice mail service. They show $375.46 for the same kit.
