Looking to get a new lift, rims and tires, but dont really want to lose the stock ride. Want to go with 18" rims on 35's or 20" rims on 35's. Know of a few people that run a leveling kit. Hoping not to go with a 4", as I dont want the truck too high. Anyone have pics or advice. Would like to have some pics with 20" rims with 35's to see if they are just too obnoxious.
davlan88, I wanted to maintain a decent ride and run 35s also. I'm running a front leveling kit with 35x12.5x18 ProComp XATs on 18x9 rims w/5" bs (it needs more bs.) Had to trim the plastic air dam under the front bumper and they come close to fenderwells in a turn. Biggest thing is to get rims with the right bs - so the wheel/tires are tucked under the truck better. I use my truck off-road (hunting) and to carry a Lance camper while towing a 24 ft boat. They haven't scrubbed...yet.

As far as wanting to see a rim and tire combos go to www.trucktoyzperformance.com and look in the galleries and you can select pics only with 20in rims and 35in tire combos on trucks.I spent about a month looking at different rim and tire combs on there. It really helped me make my decision,I went with 20in rims and 33in tires,I didn't want to lift my truck so with this combo I'm able to use it on stock ride height.
Well, tried to put my truck info in my sig, but it doesnt seem to be showing and the sig option is checked. Either way, its a 2003 F250 4WD Crew Cab 6.0L PSD. I really dont want to go higher than 4" and thats a last resort to get the wheel and tire combo that i want.
My truck info didn't show either. It's a 2005 F350 4WD CC SRW Short Bed. IF I had to do it again I would do a 4" but it barely squeezes under my slide in camper now.
35" tires will fit at stock ride height with a little bit of rub on the inner fenders at full turn. also like someone mentioned the bumper will be in the way so you have 2 options .. 1: trim the lower corners of the bumper so the tires don't rub OR 2: space the front bumper out about an inch so you dont have to cut it which doesn't look very good in my opinion. To do this remove the 4 bolts that hold the bumper on (you can see them looking at the front of your truck) and get some bolts that are an inch longer with the same threads. Cut 4 pieces of pipe about an inch long and put them between the bumper and frame as a spacer and put the new bolts through.
with a leveling kit you should have no problems with rubbing on the fenders, the bumper may still have to be trimmed or spaced though.
If you look in my gallery there are some pictures of my truck with 35" tires with no lift, the front bumper was spaced out about 1" like option #2. you can't tell that the bumper is pushed out and it looks a lot better to me than cutting the bumper. there are also pictures in there with my 4" lift and 35" tires, even though it doesn't need to be the bumper is still spaced out in those pictures. By the way they are mounted on 16X10 rims, I know you want to go bigger in diameter but that will give you an idea of width.

Well, I just went through the truck toyz site and found exactly what I was looking for thanks to nico! What a huge help that was to actually see what your idea is. I really dont want to lift it, but the guy on the phone says there is no way to fit the 35x13.50 on 20x10's without 4"'s of lift. Stuff gets expensive. They are suggesting ProComp's 4" complete system. Man, I really dont want to lift it that high if I dont have to. Anyone with experience on a Procomp lift, good or bad?
Chuck: Why did you end up going to a 4"? Were you unhappy with no lift running that size tire?
