I added a few visor pics to my gallery.
Please forgive a few things:
The truck is parked on an inch of ice, and I had to stand on an empty 5 gallon plastic bucket to take some of these, so the angles aren't the best, but the bucket was sliding out from under me.
Being cold and ugly (the weather, not me) ((maybe ugly, actually does apply)), I didn't take the time to clean up the metal before taking the pics.
I did use the original supplied screws with the visor; I'll switch to stainless this Spring.
Looks great on there; the two hard parts are done. (1) placing the visor on with originial style screws until better weather day's (2) Balancing act on plastic bucket w/ conducting a photo shoot..
I disagree-your pictures saved me from buying the wrong brackets that are on Ebay now.Thank you for the time and effort you put in to get them. Eternallt gratefull. Erik
I'm glad someone asked about the sticker. There is a site which has them.
No kidding, eh? OK, I'll look it up from my paperwork.
They didn't have a '55 Virginia at the time, but did have a '56, which really doesn't matter as long as the sticker is newer than the truck.
The fella has a number of ones from different states and years.
This is a great site. I have bought from him 3 times. Once, I kept a sticker on a shelf for over a year before using it, and I couldn't get the clear plastic off from the glue, due to it sitting so long (I guess?).
He replaced it immediately, no problem.
Paul,
Thanks for the pics. Interesting about the brackets. I am using one center mount under the drip-rail and mounting the end brackets outside the A-pillar. I've got my mock up about 90% complete.
