exhaust question

AAAAHHHHHH the joys of owning two of the same trucks (well pretty close to the same).

Momma's truck benefits from me modding my truck, as she gets the take off stuff, like my stock turbo I just pulled with the WW, she got the predator when I got the DP-tuner. She now will possibly get the Dyna-magna flo 4in exhaust when I go to the Dual set up. Question is will the 4in exaust from my truck fit an Excursion? I reallize I will have to cut probably a foot of it out as the X is a little shorter wheel base then my CC SB. But are the hangers in the same place and such?

That's a good question. I'd guess that it is the same. The Excursion is the same chassis as a regular cab (137") truck with a different body on it. All of the exhaust hangers are mated to the frame.

The over axle pipe is differant... I thought the same thing until I started looking at the exhaust... You MIGHT get it to fit but you better have a welder and some time to make it work... My wife just installed her system in her X three weeks ago...

Kinda what I figured with the rear mounted tank and all. But probably better then just throwing it out ehh?

Hey you get the BB turbo back in? Which one you like better?

I like the BB due to the spool... but it still surges a little ( I have to force it too but) and the compressor oil seal is leaking again...

Garret is sending me another turbo that they tweaked a little more to stop the surge and I hope the oil leak will be fixed for good...

The Turbonectics turbo is a workhorse for sure, the Garret is loud as hell but they need to work on the issues some have. I will say that Garret is really working with me to get it right.

Well I wiill stick with my turbonetics then. It took a little while but I like it. I really did not notice much of a difference in performance with it. But the last couple days I have been driving the X (just to put a few mles on it, momma is walking to work for the next three months, as she is in medic school and it is 1/4 mile from home.) Anyway, yeah now I notice the difference between hers and mine.
