My Truck will not start up right away if the engine[4.6L V8] is too cold or hasnt been driven like over a good amount of time if i throw it in Nuetral give a little gas @ 1500 RPM for a good minute itll run Otherwise it will Stall after its taken out of Park / Neutral .......PLZ help if any knowledge is known
Some have had success with removing it, then cleaning it with some carbureator/throttle body cleaner. Others don't have the paitence for that and just replace the IAC with a new one. Good luck!
Does anyone know where the IAC is on the K&N cold-air intakes for a 2001 Ford F150 4.6L? I've got a similar problem. The truck hesitates to start sometimes. It will start a bit, then seem like it's going to stall, and then rev up again and run OK.
The IAC (Idle Air Control) valve is attached to the throttle body. The throttle body is the butterfly valve that you open and close with the throttle cable when you push on the gas pedal. Good luck!
