Wood Dash Kits
Has anyone tried to put a wood dash kit in a 05 Explorer XLT? I am interested in finding out the differences (+/-) between the ones that overlay the exisiting trip vs the ones that replace the factory trim.

I have installed the Woodview molded set in my '05 Ex and I'm quite happy with it. I cost a liitle over $200 and I think it was worth it. I only installed the molded parts and not the flat ones. The flat ones look too fake to my eyes. here are some pics.

It looks good. I was only thinking of doing the center consule and the strips on the upper doors. Yours looks good that it is making me think of doing more. Were there any issues with installing pieces on the armrests on the door?

No none really! Just wipe all the truck parts with alcohol really good and do not scrimp on the adhesive activator as this stuff really makes it stick better.
I went the extra mile and removed all the parts and installed the Woodview parts off the vehicle. This way I was able to get a better fit
