Wood dash kits
Anyone intall a wood dash kit in their X? I have found many on the net claiming to be factory match to the limited's wood. Just wondering if anyone has added one and what they think of it...Thanks.

Was wondering the same thing.... I am also considering installing some "wood" trim but I am kind of hesitant of course I would like to have it matched with the factory installed "wood" trim.
I know Ford offers the kit for about $ 325 or so... but maybe there is a cheaper alternative??

I installed one, but it was one of the "smaller" types ... doesn't curve around all the contours ... it just puts a nice woody appearance on the front faces. This kit was about $97 and not the $200+ types I've seen advertised. Easy to install, but just make certain you really clean off ALL the surface with alcohol. I didn't and had to re-glue a couple spots with contact cement ... still came out looking pretty good. I like it, and it's real close to matching the other "wood" trim that Ford installed. Go for it!

I have found 25 piece kits for 230 on the net, which sounds like a great price...it includes the switch plates, cup holders, roof A/C vents...basically everything gets covered in wood...the limited looks to much like an XLT from the inside for my liking...Ford was cheap with the word trim

This guys very personable and has two or three suppliers and great pricing if I recall - did my '02 Ex with him...
but the '03 ex is different (more reddish) wood and I had the dealer do it...
