transmission question

i have a 1994 Ford F150 302 2wd with automatic e4od and it started shidting real late around 3rd gear and check engine light came on would this be a sensor goin bad other wise everythin runs perfict thae trannie feels fine and never slips or shifts hard
any help is greatly appriceated

First thing you should do is have the codes read, otherwise you are just guessing.

If you dont have a cooler INSTALL ONE

HEAT will KILL a trannie......
