I woke up this morning to a few drops off water on the inside of my door panel. I know it comes in from the small "a" window, Along with all the dreaded wind noise. Is there anything i can do about this?? I was thinking about taking like a marine type silicone and just giving it a nice clear seal all the way around, But i dont want it to look tacky. If i buy all new stripping for it, How much am i looking at? Also, Is there anything else i can do for rattles on the inside of the truck, OR am i just gonna have to learn to live with it.
Autocrafters sells all door weather stripping etc... needed or JCW has some prety good buys as well. As far as the rattles etc... you can buy replacement poly bushings and what not and have heard on this forum that it makes a tremendous difference but a bit of work is involved.
Mine leaks at the Vent window too. I noticed the leak is between the glass and the metal frame. You can buy the black window glass sealant at Advance Auto Parts it is made by 3M. I haven't had time to fix mine yet the window has been replaced before and they did a poor job. The weatherstripping gets hung on frame when you ope the window and pulls loose from the door. It has stretched and I am going to have to replace the weatherstripping too. I will wait until spring so I can do it right and finally be able to put in my POlk door speakers. Also, try replacing hinge pins the door is probably loose and causing wind noise because you don't have good seal. Your door probably has play in it.
Mine does not leak, but I have always made it a practice in all my trucks not to open those windows (like not taking off the top, it does not leak, squeak, or rattle either).
