Nice to meetcha ...
I'm a Ford fan, lifelong.
I've an older F150 (1995) with 175K miles on it. I've an old Mustang, as one might imagine from the forum ID ...
And I've a little gas sipper as my DD, a 1992 Mazda (bought by Ford, close enough?) Miata.
I do most all of my own tinkering and maintenance and repairs. Only occasionally are there bolts I just cannot get loose with a Chickie-Cheater-Bar ... and then I call a friend, who brings beer and breaks my bolts loose and supervises my work. LOL!
I found ya'll by searching for the VSS issue ... Thanks for the tip(s); I'll be tinkering this weekend.

I would watch some of the guys around here... before long, they will be talking you into putting a 302 in that Miata...
Pull up a chair and hang around a while! Make sure to drop in and say hi to the Texas Chapter also!

I could always pull the 289 out of the Mustang ... that's about as far as I have gotten on it's progress.
I bet that would really liven up the little car! But I bet my gas mileage would seriously decline ....

Thanks for the tip, I've not gotten a chance to dig around too much yet. But everything so far looks peachy-keen ... I need to go check out those Texas boys, I guess.
