The Red reflector is coming off the tailgate, is there a special glue that I can use to put it back in place. it lookes tacky and Im affraid the thing will come completely off and then im SOL.

I would either use 3M weatherstrip adhesive (better known as gorilla snot) or double sided tape. I'd probably go with the tape myself, as this stuff is incredibly strong and easier to work with.

 

I agree. Go with the 3M tape (the type used to secure body side moldings), or possibly RTV silicone sealant / adhesive.

 

Yes, that is what I meant, it's like a foam tape and holds on body side moldings and trim. I didn't mean for you to get double sided masking tape! It is very strong, be sure that you have everything lined up before applying it.

 

mine is cracked...anyone know where to get a replacement? OR a cost to get a new one?? And how are they attached?

3M makes exterior-grade double-sided foam tape, but it's not easy to find.

 

To get another you have to buy the whole silver facia. You can't just take the red piece off as it would crack. You could probably find one at the junk yard for around $50. they are $300 at the dealer ship. those are the only two place sto find them

As for what to re attach it with. I suggest super glue or Liquid Nail! that 3M adhesive just doesn't cut it. When I bought new mouldings for my truck it came with that stuff didn't hold at all. especially the long pieces on the door. I used super glue it worked great!!!
