Morning starting problem

Ok, now my truck doesn't want to start in the morning. It will crank, and there is fuel pressure, but it just won't start. Then all of the sudden, it will start and will start any time after that, all day long till the next morning, then the same problem. Probably something with the ignition electronics or something because of the cold or moisture but I don't really know. It just started a few weeks ago and it's starting to bug me. It eventually starts, but it does so out of nowhere. It just starts right up like nothing was wrong and if i turn it off and back on again, it'll start like normal. Odd huh? Anyone else had this problem before? Ever find the solution? Thanks in advance.

Morning starting problem

I had a problem but only happened when it was hot but my friend / mechanic said that when the ignition module and its' counterpart get old, they quit making the connection that they were once making. He said that his was just like your problem. When he shut it down in the evening, it was hot and that it sometimes would never contract enough to make solid contact. When I replaced the module, it told me that I also needed to replace the counterpart. Can't think of the name of it since I need it. Story of my life.

That's just my few cents worth for what it's worth. Hope it helps.

It was an ignition module for me too. I'm not sure what he is referring to about the "counterpart" though. If it is your module, make sure that you have the "Ford Ignition Module Tool". It should cost no more than $25 for the tool and part.
