Do I have 1310, 1330, or 1350 u-joints on my rear driveshaft? Are all three the same or does the cv joint have smaller one's?

The 2 in the double cardan are the same - the rearmost is different. I don't know the series.

That was generally true thru '89 Steve. '90 all three are the same, they're 1330s, Spicer 5-1203x

I recently had the pleasure of rebuilding that rear driveshaft on my 90. All three of the u joints were the same and the ball and needlebearings on the cv were shot so I had to replace the front most piece of the joint which ran me around $50-60 at a big rig shop that carried parts for spicer products. I had them balanced upon completion of the rebuild and no more vibration at 50+ mph. When you are done and are ready to put it back on the truck take a can of spraypaint and run it up the side of the driveshaft so you know what went on which side if you ever have to disassemble it again. This will keep you from having it balanced every time you dick with it. If you are fond of rocks, like me, you will bust a u joint every once and a while and changing them out seems second nature by now. The white line up the side just lets me know what is what and where. Hope this helps. Good luck.

You should be able to get them at any auto parts store in your area. I did mine without a press and didn't have any problems. I used a hammer and a socket a size smaller than the hole. Pound them out and gently tap the new ones in. Pretty simple but could be difficult depending on the amount of rust and how old they are. If you have access to a press it would be a lot quicker.

1330 is NOT a part #. The Spicer part is 5-1203X if you want greaseables. Not sure on the solids. You get them from Napa, any local driveline shop, or places like Drivetrain Direct or Randy's Ring & Pinion.

Just FWIW, I didn't go with the greasables as they aren't as strong as the solid joints. Three different shops all told me that the best joint was the Spicer solid joints, or the Spicer Life joints.

Call the driveshaft shops, and you can get geniune Spicer parts there.
