I have an 05 with 15,000s on it and I changed mine out at 9k miles because I didnt want the troubles the 5.4s were having. I am not 100% sure if the spark plug troubles apply to our engine, but better safe than sorry!!! Plus it wasnt that expensive. It was just a hassle to replace since it required me to remove the fuel rail and all that good stuff

the 4.6L in the F150 does not have aluminum heads, it has cast heads...i know some people say this is incorrect...check the specs on ford's website...as for the extended length plugs, i am not sure...

Why waste money on plugs when you don't need to change then? The 4.6 in my car is basically the same and at 106,000 miles on the plugs, it still runs as well as new.
