2006 psd oil change?
Be sure to use Oil filters made by Racor. The Motorcraft and Fram filters are repackaged Racor filters.
If you have questions about your 6.0L engine such as this you should really check out the forum for it here.
There is a large amount of answers that can be found right away by reading though the tech folder at the top of that page or by clicking here.
Welcome to the forum by the way! Here's a link the the Missouri Chapter for you:

There is more good information on vehicle maintance in the TECH folder at the top of the 6.0 forum.
Check it out when you get a chance.
Then buy a Fumoto Valve. http://www.fumotovalve.com
Next you'll need four empty one gallon milk jugs. We all have them in our refrigerator. Save the empties just before you want to change the oil.
Skip the 5gal bucket BS. (BullSnot)
Have a drain pan handy. A rag or two.
Remove the Oil pan plug, but plug the hole with your thumb for a moment. It's tricky, but you can install the fumoto valve when there is oil in the pan, but you have to be careful. A cool engine would help. You'll get a little messy too this first time.
With a 36mm socket, remove the cap for the oil filter.
Now, since the Fumoto valve is in place, drain the oil into one milk jug at a time. Use the little lever to close the valve and not make a mess.
Replace the oil filter and the O-ring in the cap. Put it back together tight, but don't break the cap. There's a torque spec, but the number escapes me. I torqued mine once but it leaked. So I go a bit tighter now. Remember to put a little oil on the O-ring.
Refill the crankcase with 15qts of Delo400 or that Shell Rotella stuff and save the one gallon jugs the oil came in. If you end up buying quarts of oil, remember the milk jugs for next time. I buy Delo400 by the 5gal case at Cosco.
Why milk jugs or one gallon oil jugs?
Because most municipalities that have recycling plans/roadside pickup, prefer to have the containers be one gallon. Still, if you have local pickup recycling, then it's best to check with your service.
Also, even if you don't have roadside recycle pickup, that five gallon bucket is a bear when recycling at the local parts store or outlet. Yes, because it's 5 gallons, you're more apt to fill it before recycling.
