302 V8?

I've done some searching here and elsewhere, and I am now more confused than I was. Did Ford make a V8 5.0 302? I may be getting a 1984 bronco, and according to the dealer it has a V8. But the VIN shows it as a 5.0L 2BBL 302. And then there is a government site that shows it simply as a 4.9L V8. I thought the only 302's were straight 6's. Could someone help me out here? Thanks.

302 V8?

Technically the 302ci engine calculates to be 4.94895 liters
that is where the government gets a 4.9L V8 which is also called a 5.0L by Ford.
