MY factory slider leaks. Im trying to plug it, but Im not having much luck.
They all leak, you just might not see it on most. They have drain holes at the bottom of the channel. Make sure these are not plugged up so the water can drain.
I'm replacing the dealer aftermarket slider in my truck now for the factory one. The outside seal was bad, and the window didnt fit tight enough. It didnt leak much, and not in the rain. Only at the car washes. Would make the X-wife cringe when she got sprayed.
That and I got a great deal on two windows. The slider, a regular back glass tinted, and two good window seals for the price of just the one seal alone if bought new.
One BIG down side to the slider is they can be open from the outside! (or mine can) Sunday I locked my keys in my truck and easily popped the slider open using a pocket knife!
Unfourtunatley i had wire wrapped around the latch keeping the windows shut and had to break the vent window to get in
If they want in bad enough, yes, they will break a window. Or break the vent latch.
