Before that, does the speedo do anything weird, or is the ABS light on? It sounds like the PCM isn't getting a correct speed signal.

No the speedo is dead on and no ABS light. It just shifts hard. And have to reach 35+ MPH to get it out of 2nd with the gear selector in OD. Than stay in 3rd down to 10 MPH or when it has ta pull hard. Than ya have ta go like h*** ta get it back in 3rd. OD and 3rd work fine on the open high way. at speeds above 45 to wide open. If it had a vacuum modulator I would say that It was sticking. Thanks for any input.

Well a bit of an update on the Bravada. New filter and 5 quart's of oil and it is getting better. Is there any way that cleaning the TCC Solenoid would help. I can do that weeks before I can flush the system right, or replace it?

Being that it's a specifically electronic part, there's no real way to clean it so to speak, it's electrical, it get's hot and it breaks down just like a coil does over time. Personally I think it's intentional so they sell more parts. One thing about cleaning it,,, all electrical parts are actually made of smoke, if you let the smoke out, you really chowdered it up... One of my engineering professors used to tell us that and I'll be damned if he wasn't right on.

Thanks as I was going ta pull it as It has a cable running to the throttle as well. But that is mechanical and most likely doing It's job. So I will leave It be till I get the new one. This looks like the cable is a part of the unit and will be on the new one. Is that right?
She said that yeserday it shifted around 25 MPH. So the 5 quarts of new oil and the filter seem to be helping. Could It be that the solinoid is working and what it is moving is sticking? Granted I agree that It is weak and needs replased. Which will be done.

Well The Bravada is shifting fine again. With just a filter a 5 quarts. Gonna drop the pan again and put a plug in it and do it again. Than again at every engine oil change. I do that every 4 months as the roads are dirt and the air filters don't do the job the old oil bath did.
