I just changed my plug, wires, cap and rotor. I know these probably aren't related, its just that I was paying attention to the truck to see if the new stuff helped and I noticed when I'm going down the highway at 55 and up it starts sounding like i'm in an airplane. I don't think I feel any big vibrations. A friend said its tire noise, but it seems really loud what do you guys think?
Could be tire noise. Usually the more aggressive the tread pattern the louder they are. If your doors aren't tightly sealed because of worn hinge bushings you could be getting a lot of wind noise. Shoot, I put a different antenna on my Bronco, and the stupid thing just whistled away going down the freeway. Wing window weatherstripping?
I hear ya on the road noise, I am planning to take apart my Bronco one of these days and lay down Dynamat. One of my fellow Bronco owners removed as much as he could from his interior and layed down Dynamat. The noise reduction was quite big, it sounds like he drives some new sedan.
yeah the tread pattern looks like its more for off road. Its just taht I swear it wasn't that loud before. Lets say there is a slight vibration what should i look for? Do you think the tires could go out of balance or is something wornout? It looks like the shocks are the original ones, do you think they could suddenly take a turn for the worse and give out or maybe something else?
