Fan stopped working

i have a 2004 f150 that the fan motor has stopped working on settings 1,2,&3 but still works on setting 4 does anyone have a reason as to why this would happen?

called the dealer he says its in the switch or the motor

You may want to check again. There should be a resistor pack that controls the 1,2 and 3 speeds. It drops the voltage and gives you the different speeds. The highest speed is direct voltage to the motor.

Where to locate resistor pack?

My fan motor started squeaking on low speed intermittently, luckily when at the dealer for service, 28K, was replaced under warranty. '04 F-150 XL, 4.6
