Last week I had the left upper and lower ball joints replaced and the work also required a front end alignment. I've noticed that my steering wheel now pitches about 5deg (rotated clockwise) while traveling straight. Could the work they did cause this?
Steering wheel positioning is part of a wheel alignment. It is the last step, but a important one. Many mechanics do not do it because they are L A Z Y. They do not want to take the time to do it right. If they give you any guff about fixing it, then you know that this is a shop or mechanic that will take short cuts and may not have given you a proper alignment in the first place.
