I have 99 Ranger and it seems to have a missin problem. I think that it has water in the gas but i'm not sure. A couple day's ago I crunk my truck up to let the motor warm up and it was idleing rough but idled fine after a couple seconds and every now and then when I get the RPM's around 4500 it misses a little but not everytime. I would try some gas treatment but I had already added some Lucas fuel injector cleaner right after I last filled up with gas. My check engine light doesn't come on when it does this so i'm confused. Thanks
I forgot to mention it but I replaced the fuel filter the day after the problem occured but it changed nothing. I had replaced the spak plugs and wires about 4 months ago and there isn't but about 5,000 miles on them I used the Bosch Platinum plugs and I don't think they've gone bad that quick but who knows.

I had the exact symptoms with my 99 3.0L FFV.The previous owner had installed Bosch plugs. I replaced them with Motorcraft platinums, and haven't had a misfire since!!!!
