looking for a remote starter with no alarm iam looking for one with a range of 1/2 mile turbo cool down and most of all one that let u set the start delay instead of using the single from the wait to start light
i heard that some remote starters affect the way the wait to start light opearates in cold ( wait to start light stays on for only 10 sec )
any suggestion on a good remote starter!!!!!!!
I am not sure about the 1/2 mi but the crime stopper unit on eBay is well worth the $45. I am not the only one here with it and I have heard no complaints. It has a turbo timer feature which is a button that you press one to five times before exiting that will have the truck run for 1-5 minutes.
Ive had a Viper 791Xv under my back seat for 6-8months now and im just finally getting it installed tuesday. Im not too happy about lettting someone else work on my truck but oh well, i know i can't do it and get it right. Anyway it has turbo timer, and the delay for the autostart is 10 seconds the guy said. Bought it off ebay for $200 and installing it for $150 so that sure beats the $800 price i was quoted on having it installed at a shop that would only sell me it.
I have a crimestopper. Over 5yrs. now and no issues.
The main thing for range is a super heterodyne antenna, which most but not all have.
The only thing about any remote start I have had that I don't like is the durability of the remotes.
I Have the "Valet". I have had it for 3 years. It has the turbo timer & the warm up timer is adjustable. I'm not sure of the range, the furthest I have done was on a chair lift while skiing........ about 150 yards
Cost if I rember correctly, was under $300, installed
I have the Ultra start 4650 without the alarm & love it, the range is awsome & Ive dropped the remote too many times to count & it is still going strong. It was $250 installed. http://www.ultrastarters.com/4560.html
