real quik what filters do u guys use...i was thinking about getting a k&n only because its reusable....a drop in not a intake....or is it a waste of time and money...i really dont care about performance as i know its all crap about performance and air filters...or should i just get a purolator (its what my local place sells...my choices are purolator, fram and k&n...what should i do? i was using a wicks and it was way to expensive...i think it was near 30 bucks...
how the hell am i suppose to know if it filtered good...im not saying its to expensive but im not going to spend 30 bucks if a 15 dollar purolator will do just as well...o well ... every dollar counts when your trying to save for a home!!
When I changed my air filter, I used the Purolator. Doesn't seem to have any noticeable problems or issues. I guess though, I would have to try different one's to see if there is a difference in performance. I feel if you replace them often enough, you'll be fine. Don't let them go too far and get too dirty.
I'm going to stick with the factory Donaldson when it's time to change. There's nothing out there better from a filtration/efficiency stand point. I would recommend doing a search on air filters as this subject has been discussed many, many times.
