I thought it was because men chose to die after being married to the same woman for so long. Rather then having to divorce and start all over again thinking they can train a new one. But anyways, getting the wheel off will allow me to figure out how to route a few things like the stock horn button wiring and blinker wires. I intend on pulling the stock ones and completely covering them in shrink wrap like I did the wires under the hood. That way I wont have to worry about the shielding wearing through and shorting out the system at some point down the road. Not to mention the steering column needs a little TLC to look better. The upper bearing had solid grease that dripped out the bottom some 20 years ago and needs to be replaced or repacked. With that said has anyone swapped it out with a sealed bearing? I know I can take the original one to compare but having a part # or source would make it easier to start off with. The shaft needs a little added back where the centering cone has worn .020 or so into it. I think that may have contributed to the stuck steering wheel as well.
