It just pops off...
Remove the radio and ashtray.
Run your fingers along the top of the bezel and pull outward. It takes a little effort but it pops off.
At the bottom of the bezel below the light switch, pull out. Then depress the emergency flashers switch, and pull the whole thing off as a unit.
It's a bit of a PITA, awkwardly shaped, not too strong, and an interesting fit. But nothing holds it on once the radio and ashtray are out really.
