351 M Main Cap Bolt

Can anyone Help me I'm looking for a Main cap Bolt for a 80-83 351M engine. I need the Main Cap Bolt with the stud on it that holds up the oil screen pickup tube for the 4x4 rear sump Oil Pan. Ford no longer supplies it and the jobbers just look at me funny. Does anyone know of a source ? Thank You

There are 10 main cap bolts on a 351M/400

ONLY ONE IS: D7TZ-6345-A .. Main Cap Bolt: 3/8" - 16 - 1/2" - 13 x 4 7/32"

This is the one you need. The other 9 are the same.

Try your local dealer again using this part number. This is not too easy to find in the parts book, and many of the so-called parts guys today are clueless on 351M/400 engines, last used by Ford in 1982.

Also try FTE Sponsor y2kfordparts or Green Sales in Cincinnati, Ohio (1-800-543-4959)

Note: Econolines, F150/350's, and Bronco's with 351M/400 engines from 1977/82 used this "bolt." It is NOT the same on passenger cars.

P/N D7TZ-6345-A main bearing cap stud

Reviving an old thread. I need the main bearing cap stud to secure the oil pump pickup. Working on a 1978 F-150 4WD 351M. Installing a new long block.
Does anyone have or know where to get one of these bolts? Thanks for any help,

If not found, weld a stud on a main bolt. The heat shouldn't be a problem if cooled quickly.

P/N D7TZ-6345-A main bearing cap stud

Thanks for the replies guys. Do we know for sure that the 351C,W,and M engines all used the same stud or not? I ordered one from Canton Racing that supposedly works for all 3. I will let you know when I get it and compare. Supposed to be delivered Thursday. If not the same I will be contacting you @mark a. to see if you will sell me one.

Received the main bolt/stud and wanted to let everyone know that it fits. It is about 1/8" longer than the 351M main cap bolt and it does not bottom out in the hole. Bought it from amazon. Canton Racing Part Number 20-953. Link to it on amazon

The 1/8" longer measured is grip length.
